Artwork & proofs
What file should I send?
What file should I send?
A print-ready PDF is best. We also accept Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop files. When you order through a quote calculator you can upload PDF or AI files (up to 5). For best results:
- Add 2 mm bleed on every side.
- Keep text and logos at least 2 mm inside the cut line.
- Use images that are at least 300 dpi at printed size.
- Set your artwork to CMYK and outline your fonts.
Our Artwork Guide has diagrams and examples.
I designed my label in Canva. What do I send?

Download it as PDF Print, tick Crop marks and bleed, and choose CMYK under Colour profile. Our Artwork Guide walks you through it step by step.
Will I get a proof?

We check every file before printing and contact you if anything needs fixing. Want to see a proof first? Just ask when you order. Otherwise we print exactly what you supply, so please double-check your spelling and details before you order.
Can you fix or set up my artwork for me?

Yes. In the quote calculator you can choose an artwork adjustment or setup option, and the price shows when you select it. For bigger design jobs, contact us and we'll quote it.
Can I upload my own logo or photo into the online designer?
Can I upload my own logo or photo into the online designer?
Yes. The designer accepts PNG, JPG and SVG files. Use the highest resolution image you have so it prints sharp.
How many colours can I use?
How many colours can I use?
As many as you like. We print in full colour (CMYK) at no extra cost. On clear and metallic materials we can also add a white ink layer.
Will the colours match my screen exactly?
Will the colours match my screen exactly?
Very close, but never exact. Screens show colour in RGB, while we print in CMYK inks, so bright reds, blues and greens can come out a little deeper in print. We don't print Pantone spot colours. If colour is critical, for example a brand colour, let us know when you order. Repeat orders are printed with the same care, but small colour variations between print runs can happen.
